The SEBSA Foundation this time donated essential medical equipment to the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital. This is in response to the current crisis in the health sector due to the shortages in essential medicine particularly in Sri Lanka and world-wide.

While appreciating our efforts, the Deputy Director of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital, Dr Santhusitha Senapathi, said that they need more vital items such as specific medicines for heart ailments, surgical stitches, special antibiotic doses and vitamin tablets to carry out the daily needs of the sick children.

So, this is only phase 1 of our campaign to help our children.

This time as SEBSA Family, we extended our reach to section of students of Piliandala Central College who have challenges in meeting their needs especially those that are related to education. We provided them with stationary items and educational accessories they needed to start next year of studies. We sincerely hope that this small, yet benevolent gesture would have a positive impact on their lives and inspire them to continue their quest for knowledge despite challenges they face.

Our gratitude goes to the principal of Piliandala Central College for facilitating this event and to all member of SEBSA Family for continues commitment to bring smile to faces of children in need.

Today at simple yet elegant function conducted in accordance with health guidelines and social distancing measures at Sir John Kothalawala college – Piliyandala, we were able to provide school equipment including stationery and essential accessories such as shoes and uniforms to twenty kids and dry rations for their families.  Further SEBSA and members of SEBSA Family were able to provide educational accessories for many other students in primary section of Sir John Kothalawala college – Piliyandala. Handful of SEBSA members were there to witness the event due to health restrictions and we were delighted that we as an organization and our members were able to light up little hearts of those kids with big potential. In material terms what we did may not be that significant, but we sincerely hope that it could inspire the student to be resilient in their quest for knowledge.  

With immense pleasure and happiness SEBSA family welcomes Lena Ström as CEO of SEBSA Europe at European headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Lena a prominent figure in Scandinavian IFS community is passionate about change management and digital transformation. With close to two decades of experience in IT industry and her unique ability to manage and developing geographically widespread offshore teams with multi-cultural backgrounds makes her the person to establish the bridge between SEBSA development and support team in Sri Lank and our customers in Europe.  

During her tenure at IFS, she was instrumental in transforming offshore support operations of IFS Scandinavia which is based in Sri Lanka in to more dynamic and customer focused professional entity. Her career as HR Business Partner which expanded over a decade starting from early 1990’s helped her to be the people friendly leader who brings that ‘X’ factor to any situation and create win – win outcome for all stakeholders.

Lena has earned her Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and human resources management from University of Gothenburg, Sweden and has earned certifications and qualifications from many eminent institutions including Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris- IV) during her career. She is also ITIL certified IT Service Management professional.

From SEBSA Europe Headquarters at Gothenburg, Sweden, Lena Ström will closely work with Muthuraja Nanayakkara SEBSA Sri Lanka CEO and forge ahead with strength to pave the way for next era of prosperity and growth for SEBSA ecosystem consisting of our valued customers, partners, and suppliers.
